JV Girls’ Volleyball
Overall: 4-10-1
Region: 3-7
“Although we didn’t end the season with a winning record, I’m very proud of our team this year. We have girls from varying levels of experience on this team. Whether it was their first time playing volleyball, or they’ve played for years, every single person on the team grew in some way. Collectively, they worked hard every single practice, played hard every single game, and supported each other through the wins and losses. I can’t wait to see how we improve next year,” coach Jamie Ackerman said.

Overall: 8-18-2
Region: 3-7
“I’m proud of this year’s team for building off of last year’s season to improve their overall record, earning a spot in the 4A playoffs for the second consecutive year. The team worked hard in the off season and continued working on their goals: attitude, communication and trust so the team could keep building the program to #leavealegacy,” coach Brooke Yarbrough said.
Varsity Girls’ Tennis
Overall: 6-6-0
Region: 5-5-0
“The Lady Raiders lost seven seniors last year, so we were basically starting from scratch. We recruited four new players. There are three seniors, and one is a freshman. Unfortunately we will be losing the three seniors (Mary Ellis Power, Angel Bagwell and Bryley Simmons) this year. Sophie Hughes, our new freshman, will be returning next year, along with Sara Beth Field, Ella Sanders, Anjara Norton and Emma Welch,” coach Lynne Todd said.
Girls’ Golf
Overall: 2-7
Region: 4/5 (4th in Region)
“This team has been a pleasure to coach this year, every match our score has improved,” coach Braylyn Blakely said.
Cross Country
Overall: Top Tens- 6 Meets – 5 top finishes, 2 in top 3
Region: 4-1
“We are improving every day. The boys continue to work hard,” coach Lawson Jordan said.
Varsity Boys’ Football
Overall: 1-8
Region: 1-3
“I’m proud of this team, they have overcome a lot. They have to deal with a lot that has nothing to do with football. They’re not quitters, and I want them to see the benefits of their hard work. It’s not like we lost to teams that have losing records. The plan is from the frist give games that the team gained experience that will prepare them to go into Region play. If they don’t quit, and they don’t get negative, and they see the big picture that the tough competition prior to region will prepare them for what’s to come,” Coach Greg Porter said.
JV Boys’ Football
Overall: 1-7

“The program is building, and I believe before we can win football games on the football field we’ll have to continue to win the small victories in the classroom, the school academics and attendance. Those are building blocks to success in our program,” Coach Greg Porter said.
