“Raiders Un;ted” sells items to raise money for the new scholarship

Student Council and the LDHS Robotics program are selling T-shirts, phone holders, and car decals to raise money for the Orin Patterson Mental Health Scholarship Fund during both lunches until March 1. T-shirts are $15, and phone holders and car decals are $5. It will be cash only, and students will receive orders when they arrive in a few weeks.

“Raiders Un;ited” is a mental awareness and suicide prevention movement that was started to let people know that their story is not over. Laurens District 55 High School has adopted this movement in response to the  suicides that have happened in recent years.

Students can buy these items to show their support for suicide awareness and to help raise money for the Orin Patterson Mental Health Scholarship Fund to a student who plans to pursue a career in the mental health field.
