Raider Theatre is our school’s drama club. Raider Theatre does everything in their plays, from the lighting to the acting. In drama, students  learn to come out of their shells, get to know new people and just have fun.

In Raider Theatre, students get to work with people from all walks of life and they’ll make plenty of friends.

“It really is like a big family. It doesn’t matter if someone doesn’t like you; everyone is still really nice,” sophomore Nancy Wood said. Many students who were part of drama club have had lasting friendships.

“My favorite drama memory is our first play and being able to bond with everyone,” sophomore Kaitlyn Hinson said.

Being in Raider Theatre takes dedication, and it can sometimes be stressful, but in the end, it is very rewarding. Like anything, drama has its problems, but as a whole they seem very tight knit. Attending every meeting can be stressful, and it can be pretty strict, but they get everything done.

Students who are interested in joining the Raider Theatre family may try out for next year’s plays, Radium Girls in the fall, and The Marvelous Wonderettes in the spring.
